Anne
in Tunbridge Wells, 2004, playing Mrs William Friend, a character for an event
called "Scandals at the Spa". The event is held annually, and interprets
life on the Pantiles in the 18th century. Mrs Friend is a pub landlady, and
is seen here sharing a moment with her young potgirl.
I
did a series of acting classes at Shakespeare's Globe, culminating in an evening
performance for friends and family in which we presented scenes from six different
plays. I was Juliet's nurse and King Lear - something of a challenge as a
first attempt. But it won't be the last, now I've been bitten by the acting
bug ... "Thou art a boil, a plague sore, or embossed carbuncle"
